Is Education preparing us for the jobs of the future?
The Glass Ceiling Not Glass Slipper series was set up to establish what is holding women back in 2017 and to come up with solutions by developing new policy ideas for the future.
With globalisation and technology, the world of work is changing extremely quickly and the U.K needs to ensure that it can keep up with other emerging nations. The only way to achieve this is to ensure that our young people are equipped with the fact that when they leave school they may be working in jobs that have not been invented yet.
For this event we will be addressing the skills gap we currently have in the U.K, how it can be filled and what the jobs for the future may be? How can the education system adapt and improve to help future generations develop the skills to adapt to this ever changing landscape? And how do we ensure women are not left behind ?
To help answer these questions will be joined by members from education, politics, technology and the creative industries.
